Lizbeth Spurgeon Exhibition 'A Mind's Eye View'

“My work is inspired by the natural world, the colours, lines, shapes and movement. The ever-changing skies often figure largely in the final works.

The paintings do not replicate a landscape exactly but come from imagination and stored images. This way of working encompasses my mind’s eye to create a more abstract representation of all the wonders around us.

My preferred medium is oil paint and I delight in the experience of having a new canvas to work with. Sometimes I rework earlier paintings which can still hold original images that inspire new works.”

‘A Mind’s Eye View’ exhibition opens on Friday 3rd September – 18th September. Tues – Sat 8am – 5.30pm. Admission free.

You are warmly invited to join us at the evening viewing of Lizbeth’s work on the opening night, Friday 3rd September, 7pm – 8.30pm.
